Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery
Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery and Tibetan Centre was established in 1967 and is the first and largest of its kind in the West. It is located in a peaceful valley on the banks of the river Esk among the scenic rolling hills of the Scottish borders. As well as a centre of Buddhist wisdom and learning, and offering the highest standards of Buddhist teachings, it is also a centre for the preservation of Tibetan Buddhism, arts, medicine and culture.

Kagyu Ling Buddhist Centre Manchester
Kagyu Ling, the first Buddhist centre to be founded in Manchester, was established in 1975 by Karma Thinley Rinpoche and Lama Jampa Thaye. The centre allows people to learn the systems of meditation and study of the Karma Kagyu tradition of Buddhism, whose spiritual head is the Karmapa Lama.

Dechen – Intelligence and tradition in contemporary life
Dechen is an international association of centres of the Sakya and Kagyu traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. Dechen was founded by Lama Jampa Thaye under the spiritual authority of Karma Thinley Rinpoche. At the centres and groups you can learn the systems of meditation and study taught by the Buddha. The KAT Centre is a charity close to our heart. Run by founder Jan Salter the KAT centre does fantastic work in and around Kathmandu taking sick dogs from the street. The animals are then neutered, vaccinated against Rabies and treated for any existing health problems.
